Deliciously nutty shortbread with a hint of cinnamon sugar topping. Customize with your favorite nut!
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup finely ground walnuts
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1.6666666269302 cups all-purpose flour
  • 4 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325°F (165°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Cream butter and sugar until smooth in a large bowl. Blend in walnuts, vanilla, salt, and flour until well mixed. Shape tablespoonfuls of dough into crescent shapes and place 1 inch apart on an ungreased baking sheet.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 15 to 20 minutes until the bottoms brown. Combine 1/2 cup sugar and cinnamon in a small bowl. Roll hot cookies in the cinnamon sugar. Cool completely before sealing in an airtight tin.
