Japanese-inspired Crunchy Crumbed Pork with Mild Curry - a flavorful fusion dish for your dinner delight.
Ingredients:
  • 18.40 gm vegetable oil
  • 1/2 carrot, grated
  • 620ml water
  • 1 packet Golden Curry Sauce Mix Mild 92g
  • 4 pork cutlets
  • Salt and pepper, to taste
  • 50g plain flour
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 100g panko breadcrumbs
  • Vegetable oil, for deep frying
  • Cooked rice, to serve
Instructions:
  • In a large saucepan, warm the 1 tablespoon of oil over medium heat. Saute the onion and carrot until softened. Pour in the water and bring to a boil, then lower the heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Take off the heat and add the curry roux gradually, stirring until melted. Simmer gently for an additional 5 minutes, stirring continuously.
  • Season the pork cutlets with salt and pepper, coat with flour, dip in beaten egg, and coat with breadcrumbs.
  • In a large heavy-bottomed saucepan, heat oil to 180°C. Deep fry the meat until golden and cooked through. Drain on paper towels.
  • Slice the meat and generously smother it with the savory curry sauce before elegantly arranging it on a bed of steaming cooked rice.
