Ingredients:
  • 1 cup dates, pitted and chopped
  • 1 cup chopped raisins
  • 1 large orange
  • 0.33329999446869 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup orange juice
Instructions:
  • Cut the orange into sections, ensuring to remove the seeds, then grind the sections, including the peels.
  • In a medium saucepan, mix together dates, raisins, and ground orange. Stir well. Add sugar and orange juice. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly until the mixture thickens.
  • Spread the warm filling evenly between the cake layers or on top of the cake.
