Savor the flavors of South Asia with Kima - a savory blend of spiced ground beef (or lamb), peas, and aromatic spices, perfect when paired with fluffy rice for a satisfying meal in minutes.
Ingredients:
  • 3 tablespoons butter
  • 1 cup chopped onion
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 2 medium tomatoes, chopped
  • 1 cup frozen peas
  • 1 tablespoon Masala curry powder
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 0.5 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 0.25 cup flaked coconut, or to taste
Instructions:
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter. Add onion and garlic, cook and stir until onion is translucent, about 3 to 5 minutes. Mix in beef and cook until crumbly and no longer pink, about 5 to 10 minutes. Drain excess fat.
  • Combine tomatoes, peas, curry powder, salt, paprika, chili powder, and pepper with the beef mixture. Simmer until thickened, approximately 20 minutes. Sprinkle with coconut before serving.
