Swedish toffee-like Christmas candy, perfect for sharing.
Ingredients:
  • 0.75 cup light molasses
  • 0.75 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 2 teaspoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 0.25 cup chopped almonds, or to taste
Instructions:
  • Combine molasses, cream, sugar, and cocoa powder in a pot and bring to a boil. Cook until it reaches 251 degrees F (122 degrees C) or until a small amount of syrup forms a firm but pliable ball in cold water, for about 30 to 40 minutes. The candy should have the same firmness as the test ball. Remove from heat and mix in almonds and vanilla extract.
  • Place the delightful candy into dainty paper cups. Let it cool to room temperature, then store it in an airtight container at room temperature.
