Northern Indian mild tomato and coriander paste with aromatic spices - a beloved family recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 20.00 ml cumin seeds
  • 55g (1/3 cup) raw cashews
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) tomato puree
  • 62.50 ml chopped fresh coriander
  • 13.60 gm desiccated coconut
  • 20.00 ml garam masala
  • 3 tsp finely grated fresh ginger
  • 5.00 gm sweet paprika
  • 2 tsp ground turmeric
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Toast the cumin seeds in a frying pan over medium heat, stirring constantly, until fragrant, for about 1-2 minutes.
  • Combine all ingredients in a blender and pulse until coarsely chopped.
  • Blend the oil until a smooth paste forms, scraping down the sides of the blender occasionally.
