Tangy BBQ sauce with vinegar, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and lemon juice.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups white vinegar
  • 0.5 cup brown sugar
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 0.5 tablespoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon finely ground black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon finely ground red pepper
  • 0.75 teaspoon hot pepper sauce
  • 1 cup ketchup (such as Heinz®)
Instructions:
  • Combine vinegar, brown sugar, white sugar, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice, salt, black pepper, red pepper, and hot pepper sauce in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, cover, and simmer on medium-low heat, stirring occasionally until sugars dissolve and sauce thickens, about 15 minutes.
  • Incorporate the ketchup into the sauce until it achieves a smooth consistency.
