Cozy up this winter with a comforting beef lasagne.
Ingredients:
  • 1 quantity basic bechamel sauce
  • 250g dried lasagne pasta sheets
  • 1 quantity basic bolognaise sauce
  • 75g mozzarella cheese, coarsely grated
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 180°C and generously grease a 12-cup, 7cm-deep, 18cm x 25cm (base) rectangular baking dish.
  • Spread a generous layer of creamy bechamel sauce over the base of the dish to prevent the pasta from sticking. Add a layer of pasta sheets, breaking them to fit if needed. Top with one-third of the flavorful bolognaise sauce and one-third of the remaining luscious bechamel sauce. Repeat the layers of pasta and sauce two more times, finishing with a velvety touch of bechamel sauce. Finish by generously sprinkling with mozzarella cheese.
  • Bake the lasagne uncovered for 50 to 55 minutes until golden and bubbling around the edges. Let it stand for 5 minutes, then slice and serve.
