Simple Snow Eggs recipe perfect for kids to make.
Ingredients:
  • 600g low-fat custard
  • 60ml (1/4 cup) milk
  • 1/4 tsp lemon essence
  • 2 egg whites
  • 70g (1/3 cup) caster sugar
Instructions:
  • In a large jug, mix together the custard, milk, and lemon essence.
  • In a clean, dry bowl, whisk egg whites with an electric beater until soft peaks form. Gradually add sugar and continue whisking until sugar dissolves and mixture becomes thick, glossy, and forms a long trailing peak when the beater is lifted.
  • 1. Fill a large deep frying pan with boiling water and simmer over low heat. 2. Divide meringue mixture into 12 equal portions. 3. Shape each portion into an egg using 2 dessertspoons and gently place into the simmering water. 4. Cook for 2 minutes on each side until puffed and cooked through, flipping with a slotted spoon.
  • Portion out the custard mixture evenly into individual serving bowls and delicately place 3 snow eggs in each bowl using a slotted spoon. Serve promptly for the best experience.
