Try this zesty lemon whipped cream frosting for a burst of citrus freshness.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pint heavy whipping cream, chilled
  • 1 cup confectioners' sugar, sifted
  • 3 tablespoons freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 1 lemon, zested
Instructions:
  • Place a bowl and beaters (or a whisk attachment for a stand mixer) in the refrigerator for 20 minutes to chill.
  • Pour the heavy whipping cream into a chilled bowl and beat on medium-high speed until light and soft peaks form.
  • With the mixer on medium speed, slowly incorporate the confectioners' sugar, lemon juice, and lemon zest until a smooth, thick mixture with stiff peaks forms. Use right away for best results.
