Introduce your kids to baking with easy and delicious macadamia tarts.
Ingredients:
  • 2 sheets frozen ready-rolled shortcrust pastry, thawed
  • 20.00 ml apricot jam
  • 50g (1/3 cup) roughly chopped macadamias
  • Pinch ground cinnamon
  • 54.00 gm maple syrup
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 170C. Grease a 12-hole mini-muffin pan. Cut 12 pastry discs with a 10cm cutter and place them in the pan. Chill in the refrigerator for 15 minutes.
  • Place a dollop of jam in the center of each pastry case. Mix macadamias, cinnamon, and maple syrup in a small bowl, ensuring the nuts are coated in the syrup. Divide the macadamia mixture evenly among the pastry cases.
  • Bake until the pastry is light golden and cooked through, about 15 minutes. Serve warm or at room temperature.
