Creamy Middle Eastern pudding flavored with rose water and cardamom, garnished with nuts.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups milk
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup cold water
  • 6 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon rose water
  • 2 cardamom pods, crushed
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan, whisk together milk and sugar until it comes to a boil.
  • In a bowl, blend water and cornstarch until smooth. Pour it into boiling milk and simmer until thickened like cake batter for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in cream, rose water, and cardamom.
  • Chill the milk mixture until fully cooled, for 2 to 4 hours.
