Mahalabia (Middle Eastern-Style Milk Pudding)

Creamy Middle Eastern pudding flavored with rose water and cardamom, garnished with nuts.
Ingredients:
3cups milk
0.75 cupwhite sugar
1cupcold water
6tablespoons cornstarch
1cupheavy whipping cream
1tablespoonrose water
2cardamom pods, crushed
Instructions:
In a saucepan, whisk together milk and sugar until it comes to a boil.
In a bowl, blend water and cornstarch until smooth. Pour it into boiling milk and simmer until thickened like cake batter for 15-20 minutes. Remove from heat and mix in cream, rose water, and cardamom.
Chill the milk mixture until fully cooled, for 2 to 4 hours.
