Indulgent Alfredo sauce and broccoli shine in this cozy brunch bake.
Ingredients:
  • 1 loaf (1 lb) unsliced rustic Italian bread, cut into 1-inch cubes (8 cups)
  • 1 cup frozen chopped broccoli (from 12-oz bag), thawed, drained
  • 2 cups shredded Italian cheese blend (8 oz)
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 container (10 oz) refrigerated Alfredo pasta sauce
Instructions:
  • Prepare a 13x9-inch (3-quart) glass baking dish by spraying it with cooking spray. Then, evenly layer half of the bread cubes, followed by the broccoli, 1 cup of cheese, and finish with the remaining bread cubes.
  • In a large bowl, whisk together eggs, milk, and Alfredo sauce until smooth. Pour the mixture over the ingredients in the baking dish. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours or overnight to allow the flavors to meld.
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F, then uncover the baking dish and sprinkle the remaining 1 cup of cheese over the strata. Bake for 45 to 50 minutes until a knife inserted in the center comes out clean and the cheese is deep golden brown. Allow it to stand for 5 minutes before serving.
