Prepare a week's worth of breakfast in just 20 minutes with this easy make-ahead porridge recipe.
Ingredients:
  • 135g rolled oats
  • 125ml milk
  • 28.60 gm honey
  • Blueberries, raspberries, sliced banana or sliced strawberries, to serve
  • Chopped walnuts or macadamias, to serve (optional)
  • Milk, extra, to serve
  • Honey, extra, to serve
Instructions:
  • Grease 6 holes of a 1/3-cup (80ml) silicon or non-stick muffin pan. In a large saucepan over medium heat, combine oats, milk, honey, and 2 cups (500ml) water. Stir constantly and cook for 5-7 mins until porridge boils and thickens. Remove from heat and let it cool for 5 mins.
  • Divide the porridge evenly into the molds. Add a mix of blueberries, raspberries, banana, and/or strawberry on top. Optional: sprinkle with walnuts or macadamia. Freeze overnight or until firm.
  • Transfer a serving of porridge to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on medium for 2 minutes or until heated through. Serve with additional milk and honey.
