Sweet cornbread complements hearty chili perfectly.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pouch (6.5 oz) Betty Crocker™ Cornbread & Muffin Mix
  • 1/3 cup maple syrup
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 egg
  • Progresso™ Smokehouse pork & beef chili with beans, as desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Grease the bottom of an 8-inch cast-iron skillet and heat in the oven for about 10 minutes until hot. Alternatively, you can use an 8-inch square pan without preheating.
  • Combine all the ingredients in a medium bowl, excluding the chili, then transfer the mixture to a skillet.
  • Bake for approximately 15 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Gently loosen the sides with a knife, then transfer to a cooling rack to cool. Enjoy with chili.
