Indulge in decadent stovetop maple fudge with brown sugar, cream, butter, and pure maple syrup.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups maple syrup
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 0.75 cup dark brown sugar
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 0.66666668653488 cup chopped walnuts
Instructions:
  • Prepare an 8x8-inch baking pan by lining it with waxed paper and generously buttering the paper.
  • Combine maple syrup, heavy cream, and brown sugar in a saucepan and bring to a gentle boil over medium heat. Let it bubble without stirring until it reaches 240 degrees F (116 degrees C) on a candy thermometer.
  • Take the mixture off the heat. Gently place in the butter and salt without stirring. Allow it to rest until it reaches a temperature of 105°F (41°C).
  • Stir in walnuts and vanilla until the mixture becomes matte. Transfer to the pan, cool to room temperature, slice, wrap, and refrigerate.
