Irresistible blueberry pie with a flaky homemade crust that ignites love and cravings.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups self-rising flour
  • 0.66666668653488 cup vegetable oil
  • 0.33333334326744 cup water
  • 2 cups blueberries, or more to taste
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 0.25 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 2 tablespoons butter, cut into small cubes
Instructions:
  • Heat your oven to a toasty 400 degrees F (200 degrees C).
  • Combine 2 cups of self-rising flour with oil and water in a bowl until a well-mixed pie crust dough forms. Divide dough into 2 balls. Roll each ball between 2 sheets of waxed paper until flattened to 9-inch diameter. Invert one flattened dough over pie dish, remove the top waxed paper, and trim crust if necessary. Reserve the remaining dough for later use.
  • Mix together fresh, juicy blueberries, a sprinkle of sugar, 1/4 cup of all-purpose flour, a splash of tangy lemon juice, and a pinch of salt until thoroughly combined. Transfer this delicious mixture into the pie crust. Seal the pie with the remaining dough, creating a beautiful pattern along the edges. Finally, dot the top crust with butter cubes for extra indulgence.
  • Bake in the oven until the filling thickens and the crust turns a beautiful golden brown, approximately 50 minutes.
