Meatballs in tomato and basil sauce

Classic Italian dish, simple to make and perfect for freezing. Enjoy anytime!
Ingredients:
  • 400g spaghetti
  • 18.20 gm pure olive oil
  • 2 cloves garlic, chopped
  • 690g jar pasta sauce authentic Italian passata
  • 250.00 ml fresh basil leaves, plus extra to serve
  • 2 x 420g packets butcher beef meatballs
  • Parmesan, grated
Instructions:
  • Boil spaghetti in a large pot of salted water following the instructions on the packet. Drain cooked spaghetti.
  • Heat oil in a large saucepan over medium heat. Sauté onion until soft, about 5 minutes. Stir in garlic and cook until fragrant, about 1 minute. Pour in sauce, 1/2 cup of water, and basil. Simmer for 5 minutes. Gently add meatballs, cover, and simmer for 15 minutes until cooked through.
  • In a bowl, toss together the cooked pasta, meatballs, and sauce. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and grated Parmesan before serving.
