Taste.com.au member favorite Mexican tortilla bake - a must-try tonight for a flavorful dinner experience!
Ingredients:
  • 9.20 gm olive oil
  • 2 brown onions, finely chopped
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 500g beef mince
  • 1 x 400g can chopped tomatoes
  • 1 x 35g pkt taco seasoning
  • 8 flour tortillas
  • 2 avocados, halved, stones removed, peeled, thinly sliced lengthways
  • 235g (1 cup) sour cream
  • 160g (2 cups) coarsely grated cheddar
Instructions:
  • In a large, deep frying pan over medium heat, warm the oil. Sauté the onion and garlic, stirring occasionally, until soft, about 4 minutes.
  • Add the mince and cook, using a wooden spoon to break up any lumps, for 5-6 minutes until the mince changes color. Stir in the tomato and seasoning until heated through.
  • Preheat oven to 180°C. Layer tortillas and mince mixture in an ovenproof dish. Place avocado slices on top, cover with remaining tortillas, spread with sour cream, and sprinkle with cheddar. Bake for 35-40 minutes until golden. Serve hot.
