Quick and delicious microwaved apples filled with raisins and topped with low-fat fruit granola - ready in 10 minutes for a delightful breakfast treat.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large crisp apple (such as Braeburn, Gala or Fuji)
  • 1 tablespoon raisins or sweetened dried cranberries
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 2 teaspoons margarine or butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup Nature Valley™ Low Fat Fruit Granola
Instructions:
  • Halve the apple lengthwise and use a spoon to remove and discard the core, creating a 1-inch indentation in each half. Transfer each half to a small microwave-safe bowl.
  • Evenly stuff each apple half with sweet raisins and brown sugar, then top with a dab of margarine. Cover each with microwave-safe plastic wrap, leaving one corner slightly open for venting.
  • Microwave each apple half until tender, about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Sprinkle with granola and serve with a splash of milk, cream or fruit-flavored yogurt, if preferred.
