These irresistible mini fruit pastries will have everyone begging for the recipe!
Ingredients:
  • 250.00 ml frozen mixed berries
  • 2 tsp finely grated orange rind
  • 27.00 gm maple syrup
  • 1 sheet frozen ready-rolled butter puff pastry
  • 20.00 gm almond meal (ground almonds)
  • 10.00 gm caster sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 200°C/180°C fan forced, then mix together the berries, orange rind, and maple syrup in a bowl.
  • Cut the pastry into 4 squares, then diagonally slit one half of each square. Spread almond meal over the uncut sides, add the berry mixture, and fold the cut side over to enclose the filling. Seal the edges by pressing them with a fork. Place them on a baking paper-lined tray, brush with water, sprinkle with sugar, and bake for 15 to 20 minutes until golden and puffed. Serve with double cream or ice-cream.
