Crumbly cupcakes with a hint of brown sugar and cinnamon - a cozy delight.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/4 cups Gold Medal™ all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons powdered sugar
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350°F. Prepare 6 medium muffin cups with paper baking cups or by greasing with shortening or spraying with cooking spray. In a large bowl, combine flour, brown sugar, and butter, stirring with a spoon until crumbly. Set aside 1/3 cup of the mixture for the topping.
  • Mix together the egg, baking powder, cinnamon, and milk with the crumbly mixture until fully combined. Fill muffin cups with the batter and sprinkle the remaining crumbly mixture on top.
  • Bake for 20 to 30 minutes until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Allow the cakes to cool for 5 minutes before removing from the pan. Sprinkle warm cakes with powdered sugar and serve either warm or cooled.
