Middle Eastern-inspired cheese ball bites served with crispy pita crackers.
Ingredients:
  • 2 packages (8 oz each) cream cheese, softened
  • 1 package (10 to 11 oz) chèvre (goat) cheese, softened
  • 1 teaspoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher (coarse) salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 3 cups crumbled feta cheese (12 oz)
  • 6 tablespoons chopped fresh mint leaves
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons za’atar seasoning blend
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons za'atar seasoning blend
  • 1 1/2 cups finely chopped pistachio nuts
  • Pita crackers
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer with a paddle attachment to blend the Basic Cheese Ball Ingredients together until well mixed.
  • Incorporate Flavor Stir-Ins into the mixture. Form mixture into 1-inch balls using wet hands and chill until set, approximately 1 hour. For later use, refrigerate for up to 3 days or freeze for up to 1 month.
  • Combine Coating ingredients in a small bowl. Roll balls in the mixture before serving. Enjoy with pita crackers, if preferred.
