Adorable caprese salad - simple, festive appetizer.
Ingredients:
  • 4 ripe, room-temperature tomatoes
  • 6 bocconcini, sliced
  • fresh basil leaves, to serve
  • basil pesto, to serve
Instructions:
  • Quarter 4 ripe, room-temperature tomatoes horizontally, using a mix of red and yellow tomatoes for a vibrant presentation.
  • Distribute the tomato bases onto individual serving plates.
  • Place 2 slices of bocconcini on top of each base and garnish with small fresh basil leaves.
  • Spoon small dollops of fragrant basil pesto and season to taste.
  • Create 2 additional layers by alternating middle tomato slices, 4 sliced bocconcini, small basil leaves, and basil pesto. Top with the tomato lids to finish.
