Indulge in homemade sticky buns bursting with cinnamon sweetness and plump raisins.
Ingredients:
  • 2 (.25 ounce) packages quick-rising yeast (such as Fleischmann's RapidRise®)
  • 0.5 cup lukewarm water
  • 4.5 cups sifted all-purpose flour
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 0.5 cup warm milk
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 0.75 cup brown sugar
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 3 tablespoons honey
  • 1 tablespoon light corn syrup
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1 cup walnuts
  • 0.25 cup butter, melted
  • 0.75 cup white sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, combine yeast with lukewarm water, and let it sit for 5 minutes. Mix in flour, eggs, warm milk, 1/2 cup white sugar, 1/2 cup melted butter, and salt until a moist and sticky dough forms.
  • Place the dough in a bowl coated with a thin layer of oil, then cover it with a damp towel. Allow it to rise in a cozy spot until it doubles in size, and when you press a finger into it, the indentation remains, which typically takes around 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 hours.
  • Combine brown sugar, 1/2 cup butter, honey, and corn syrup in a saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the sugar dissolves. Pour the mixture into 2 non-stick 9x13-inch baking dishes. Sprinkle evenly with 1 cup of raisins and walnuts.
  • Flatten the dough by gently punching it down and shape it into a rectangle about 1/4 to 1/2-inch thick.
  • - Spread 1/4 cup melted butter on the dough rectangle. - Combine 3/4 cup white sugar with cinnamon and sprinkle over the butter. - Evenly distribute 1 cup raisins over the dough. - Roll the dough into a cylinder around the filling, then cut into 3/4-inch slices. - Arrange the slices in baking dishes. - Allow to rest for at least 20 minutes or refrigerate overnight before baking.
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • Bake rolls in a preheated oven until cooked through, about 25 minutes. Flip them onto a serving platter right away, transferring the topping onto the rolls, and serve while warm.
