Irresistibly rich peanut butter cookies that disappear quickly. A guaranteed favorite!
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup butter flavored shortening
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2.5 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • Combine the butter, butter flavored shortening, and sugars until creamy. Mix in the eggs. Stir in the peanut butter and vanilla. Gently fold in the dry ingredients until fully combined.
  • Use a tablespoon to scoop out portions of dough and shape them into balls. Arrange the balls on lightly greased cookie sheets, keeping them 3 inches apart. Press a fork in a criss-cross pattern on top of each ball.
  • Preheat your oven to 375 degrees F (190 degrees C). Bake the cookies for 8-10 minutes until set, but still soft. Be careful not to overbake. Let them sit on the baking sheets for 2 minutes before transferring to cool. Once cooled, store in a covered container.
