Nutmeg-spiced peaches star in this simple cobbler.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup butter
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg, or to taste
  • 0.75 cup self-rising flour
  • 0.75 cup milk
  • 1 (28 ounce) can sliced peaches, with juice
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) for the perfect cooking temperature.
  • In an 8x8-inch baking dish, melt the butter in the oven. In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, nutmeg, and self-rising flour. Mix in milk until smooth. Pour batter over melted butter without stirring. Arrange sliced peaches on top and pour in the juice gently.
  • Continue baking in the oven until the batter is set and the cobbler has slightly risen, for 35 to 45 minutes.
