Elevate classic cabbage and noodles with the irresistible addition of crispy bacon for extra flavor.
Ingredients:
  • 3 cups water
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1 (12 ounce) package bacon, chopped
  • 1 head cabbage, cored and chopped
  • 1 (8 ounce) package egg noodles
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
Instructions:
  • In a large, deep skillet, bring water and butter to a boil. Add bacon and bring back to a boil.
  • Add the cabbage to the savory bacon mix and let it simmer until the cabbage is fork-tender and the liquid has almost cooked off, around 20 minutes. Drain excess liquid.
  • 1. Fill a large pot with salted water and bring it to a vigorous boil. Add egg noodles and cook until al dente, about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally. Drain thoroughly.
  • Gently combine egg noodles with crispy bacon and tender cabbage; season generously with salt and black pepper to enhance flavors.
