Irresistible lace cookies with a tender, wafer-like texture. Made with oats and brown sugar for a delightful sweet taste. Perfect for holiday treats and entertaining.
Ingredients:
  • 2.25 cups old-fashioned oats
  • 2.25 cups packed light brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 large egg, slightly beaten
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  • Combine oats, brown sugar, flour, and salt in a bowl. Stir in melted butter until fully incorporated. Add egg and vanilla extract, mix until combined.
  • Using a 1/2 teaspoon, place dough onto the baking sheet, ensuring there is at least a 2-inch space between each dollop.
  • Bake until golden brown in the preheated oven, about 4 to 5 minutes.
  • Take out of the oven and allow to cool until slightly firm for 5 to 10 minutes. Then, transfer the cookies to wire racks to completely cool. Bake the remaining cookies one cookie sheet at a time following the instructions.
