Maine-inspired melt-in-your-mouth crab cakes that pair perfectly with seafood pasta salad, boiled potatoes, or steamed veggies.
Ingredients:
  • 1 pound crabmeat
  • 0.5 cup dry bread crumbs
  • 1 egg, beaten
  • 1 tablespoon mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon prepared Dijon-style mustard
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning TM
  • 2 tablespoons butter
Instructions:
  • Combine bread crumbs and crab meat in a bowl. Mix in beaten egg, mayonnaise, mustard, Worcestershire, and Old Bay Seasoning. Gently form the mixture into 8 crab cakes, being careful not to overwork the mixture.
  • In a skillet over medium heat, melt butter until sizzling. Cook the cakes until crispy and golden brown on both sides. Serve while still warm.
