Decadent bourbon-infused pecan pie with a buttery caramelized filling and crunchy pecans - a taste of New Orleans.
Ingredients:
  • 0.66666668653488 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup corn syrup
  • 2 tablespoons bourbon whiskey
  • 3 eggs
  • 0.33333334326744 cup melted butter
  • 1 cup coarsely chopped pecans
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 1 (9 inch) refrigerated pie crust
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) to get it nice and toasty for your dish.
  • In a mixing bowl, combine sugar, corn syrup, bourbon, eggs, melted butter, and salt until creamy. Gently mix in pecans and chocolate chips. Transfer the mixture to the pie crust. Optionally, shield the edges of the pie with foil strips to avoid over-browning.
  • Bake until the center is firm, approximately 50 minutes. Allow to cool before serving.
