Indulgent fudge brownies with crunchy pecans, a sweet finale for any meal.
Ingredients:
  • 1 box Betty Crocker™ Fudge Brownie Mix
  • Water, vegetable oil and eggs as called for on brownie mix box
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 6 tablespoons butter
  • 1 1/2 cups packed brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans, toasted
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. Grease the bottom of a 13x9-inch pan with cooking spray.
  • Follow the instructions on the brownie mix box for fudge brownies using water, oil, and eggs. Mix in chopped pecans. Bake according to the box instructions. Allow to cool completely for about 1 hour before serving.
  • In a medium saucepan, combine cream, butter, and brown sugar. Cook over medium heat until mixture boils, stirring often. Cook for 1 minute while stirring constantly. Remove from heat and mix in pecans, powdered sugar, and vanilla. Let cool for 5 minutes, stirring frequently.
  • Smooth the luscious frosting over the brownies and let it rest for 30 to 45 minutes until it sets. Slice the brownies into 24 bars by cutting them into 6 rows by 4 rows.
