Delicious crispy rye crackers with savory caraway, garlic, and onion seasoning.
Ingredients:
  • 1 cup rye flour
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon caraway seed
  • 1.5 teaspoons salt
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 0.33333334326744 cup canola oil
  • 1 teaspoon honey
  • 0.25 cup water, or as needed
Instructions:
  • In a bowl, mix rye flour, all-purpose flour, caraway seed, salt, onion powder, and garlic powder. Add canola oil and honey. Gradually stir in water with a fork until dough forms a ball. Cover and let rest for 10 minutes.
  • Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Take the dough and divide it into 4 sections. Roll each section out on parchment paper until it is 1/8-inch thick. Cut it into your preferred shapes and place them on a baking sheet. Finally, prick each cracker a few times with a fork.
  • Once the oven is nice and hot, bake until the edges turn a lovely golden brown and the crackers become delightfully crisp, which should take about 10 to 12 minutes. Then, transfer the crackers to a cooling rack.
