Elevate your steak with a tangy and aromatic black pepper sauce.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 0.25 cup finely minced shallots
  • 6 tablespoons finely chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 tablespoon crushed black pepper
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup cognac
  • 1.5 cups beef stock
  • 6 tablespoons creme fraiche
Instructions:
  • In a saucepan over low heat, melt 2 tablespoons of butter. Saute shallots in the melted butter until translucent for about 5 minutes. Then, add parsley and continue sauteing for another 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
  • Gently pour cognac over shallot mixture and cook until flames subside, 2 to 3 minutes. Pour in beef stock and bring to a boil, then lower heat and stir in creme fraiche. Simmer until sauce thickens slightly, around 5 minutes. Finish by stirring in 2 tablespoons of butter until melted.
