No-Bake Caramel-Cinnamon Toast Crunch Bars

Satisfy your sweet cravings with these divine bars - a delightful combo of crunchy, gooey, and delicious ingredients from Betty Crocker Snacks cookbook.
Ingredients:
  • 5 cups Cinnamon Toast Crunch™ cereal
  • 2 cups miniature marshmallows
  • 1/4 cup butter, melted
  • 1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
  • 1 jar (7 oz) marshmallow creme
  • 28 unwrapped caramels (from 11-oz bag)
  • 1/4 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 3/4 cup salted mixed nuts
  • 1/4 cup semisweet chocolate chips
  • 1/4 teaspoon vegetable oil
Instructions:
  • Spray a 9-inch square pan with cooking spray. Crush ¼ cup of cereal coarsely and set aside.
  • Place marshmallows and butter in a large microwave-safe bowl. Microwave on High for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every minute, until smooth and melted. Add the remaining 4¾ cups of cereal and mix well to coat. Press the mixture into the bottom of the pan.
  • Combine powdered sugar and marshmallow creme in a medium bowl until well mixed and thick. Use a wet offset metal spatula to evenly spread marshmallow creme mixture over cereal mixture.
  • In a small microwavable bowl, heat caramels and cream in the microwave on High for 2 to 3 minutes, stirring after each minute until smooth. Let it cool for 5 minutes. Spread the caramel over the marshmallow mixture, sprinkle with nuts and crushed cereal, and gently press down.
  • Place the chocolate chips and oil in a small microwavable bowl. Microwave on High for 15 to 30 seconds, stirring halfway through, until melted. Drizzle the melted chocolate over the nuts. Refrigerate for 1 hour before cutting into 6 rows by 4 rows.
