Whip up a nostalgic applesauce spice cake using Duncan Hines mix for a cozy treat that oozes comfort and satisfaction.
Ingredients:
  • 1 package Duncan Hines® Moist Deluxe® Spice Cake Mix
  • 1.25 cups applesauce
  • 3 large eggs
  • 0.33333334326744 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 cup chopped nuts
  • 1 container Duncan Hines® Creamy Home-Style Classic Vanilla Frosting
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and prepare a 13x9-inch pan by greasing and flouring it.
  • In a large bowl, use an electric mixer to blend cake mix, applesauce, eggs, and oil at medium speed for 2 minutes. Fold in nuts until well combined, then transfer the mixture to the prepared pan.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for about 40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center of the cake comes out clean. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 15 minutes, then invert onto a cooling rack. Once cooled, flip the cake right-side up and let it cool completely.
  • In a medium bowl, mix vanilla frosting and cinnamon until well combined.
  • Generously smooth the delectable frosting over the now cooled cake.
