Indulge in our classic bread pudding with buttery cinnamon custard, raisins, and baked bread cubes for the perfect comforting dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 2 eggs, slightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon or nutmeg
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 6 cups soft bread cubes (about 6 slices bread)
  • 1/2 cup raisins, if desired
  • Whipping (heavy) cream, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 350°F. In a 2-quart saucepan, warm milk and butter over medium heat until butter is melted and mixture is hot.
  • Combine eggs, sugar, cinnamon, and salt in a large bowl. Add bread cubes and raisins, then mix in the milk mixture. Transfer the mixture to an ungreased 1 1/2-quart casserole dish.
  • Bake uncovered for 40-45 minutes or until a knife inserted 1 inch from the edge comes out clean. Serve warm with whipped cream.
