Oven-roasted pecans with brown sugar, cinnamon, and a hint of salt - a delightful Southern-inspired treat perfect for Christmas or any time of the year.
Ingredients:
  • 1 large egg white
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 2.25 cups pecan halves
  • 0.5 cup white sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
Instructions:
  • 1. Collect all the ingredients. 2. Preheat the oven to 225°F (105°C) and lightly grease a rimmed baking pan.
  • In a mixing bowl, whisk together egg white and water until fluffy. Gently fold in pecans until evenly coated.
  • In a shaker or cup with a lid, mix sugar, cinnamon, and salt. Coat pecans evenly with the sugar mixture, then spread them on the prepared pan.
  • Place in the preheated oven and stir every 15 minutes until pecans are toasted and fragrant, approximately 1 hour. Allow pecans to cool on the pan before transferring to an airtight container for storage.
