Indulgent orange-chocolate swirled cheesecake with optional orange liqueur for extra decadence. A heavenly treat for the senses.
Ingredients:
  • 1.5 cups graham cracker crumbs
  • 0.25 cup white sugar
  • 0.33333334326744 cup butter, melted
  • 4 ounces semisweet chocolate, chopped
  • 3 (8 ounce) packages cream cheese, softened
  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 5 eggs
  • 2 tablespoons orange juice
  • 0.5 teaspoon grated orange zest
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 325 degrees F (165 degrees C). Combine graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and butter in a medium bowl until fully incorporated. Press mixture into the bottom and 1 1/2 inches up the side of a 9-inch springform pan.
  • After baking for 10 minutes, melt chocolate in a metal bowl over simmering water until smooth, stirring occasionally. Allow it to cool slightly without hardening.
  • Blend cream cheese and 1 cup sugar until smooth. Incorporate eggs one at a time on low speed or by hand. Slowly add orange juice and zest. Set aside 2 cups of batter. Pour the rest over the baked crust. Mix melted chocolate into reserved batter. Drop chocolate batter by spoonfuls onto white batter. Swirl with a knife for a decorative design.
  • Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the center is nearly set. Gently run a spatula or knife around the pan while warm to prevent cracking. Let the cake cool, remove the pan sides, and chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours before serving.
