Pan-fried chive flowers cooked in butter and olive oil for a tender and unique side dish.
Ingredients:
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1.5 cups fresh chive flowers, rinsed and well-drained
  • 1 clove garlic, minced
  • salt
  • black pepper
Instructions:
  • In a large skillet over medium-high heat, warm olive oil then add butter and allow it to melt for about 30 seconds. Stir in chive flowers, garlic, and salt, cooking until soft and tender for 3 to 5 minutes. Finish by grinding black pepper over the mixture before serving.
