Parmesan and herb crusted pork chops with a crispy sear and tender center.
Ingredients:
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 0.25 teaspoon salt
  • 1 pinch ground black pepper
  • 1 egg, lightly beaten
  • 0.75 cup Italian bread crumbs
  • 0.5 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1.5 teaspoons rubbed sage
  • 0.5 teaspoon grated lemon zest
  • 2 boneless pork chops
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 425 degrees F (220 degrees C) and gently grease a 7x11-inch baking dish.
  • In a shallow dish, combine flour, salt, and pepper. Place beaten egg in another dish. Mix bread crumbs, Parmesan, sage, and lemon zest in a third dish. Coat pork chop with flour mixture, then dip into egg and press into bread crumbs. Shake off excess and gently pat to remove loose crumbs. Place breaded pork chop on a plate without stacking while preparing the rest.
  • In a large skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and butter until sizzling. Sear pork chops for 4 minutes on each side until beautifully golden, then move them to the baking dish.
  • Roast in the oven until the center is no longer pink, for about 10 to 15 minutes, ensuring the thermometer reads at least 145°F (63°C).
