Ingredients:

  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 6 large egg whites
  • 0.25 cup minced fresh chives
  • 4 cups shredded Parmesan cheese
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 bunch fresh asparagus
  • 0.25 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon prepared horseradish
  • 2 teaspoons ketchup
  • 0.25 teaspoon Cajun seasoning
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to a toasty 425 degrees F (220 degrees C), then spray a baking sheet with cooking spray for a flawless finish.
  • Combine 1 cup of flour with 1 cup of grated Parmesan cheese in a bowl. In another bowl, whisk egg whites and chives until foamy. Mix 4 cups of shredded Parmesan cheese with 2 tablespoons of flour in a separate bowl.
  • Take each asparagus spear and delicately coat it in the flour mixture using tongs, then shake off any extra. Dip it into the egg white mixture, ensuring an even coat and letting any excess drip off. Next, cover it in the Parmesan cheese mixture, applying gentle pressure to make sure the cheese sticks. Place on the baking sheet and repeat with the rest of the asparagus spears.
  • Simply bake until golden brown, approximately 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
  • Combine mayonnaise, horseradish, ketchup, and Cajun seasoning in a small bowl to create a flavorful dipping sauce for the baked asparagus.
