Easy no-roll crust perfect for bottom-only pies like Pumpkin Pie or pre-baked crusts.
Ingredients:
  • 1 1/3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/3 cup vegetable oil
  • 2 tablespoons cold water
Instructions:
  • Combine flour, salt, and oil in a medium bowl until well mixed. Gradually add cold water, one tablespoon at a time, mixing with a fork until fully absorbed.
  • Shape the pastry into a ball and press evenly into the bottom and up the sides of a 9-inch glass pie plate, then flute the edges. For an unbaked pie crust, proceed with filling and baking as instructed in the pie recipe. For a pre-baked crust, preheat the oven to 475°F, pierce the pastry all over with a fork, and bake for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly golden. Allow to cool on a rack for about 30 minutes before filling as per the pie recipe.
