Peach and Streusel Shortcake

40-minute peach and pecan shortcake made with Bisquick® mix for a delectable dessert.
Ingredients:
  • 2 1/3 cups Original Bisquick™ mix
  • 3 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter or margarine, melted
  • 2 tablespoons packed brown sugar
  • 1 tablespoon butter or margarine, softened
  • 1/4 cup chopped pecans
  • 1 can (29 oz) sliced peaches, drained
  • Sweetened whipped cream
  • Additional chopped pecans, if desired
Instructions:
  • Preheat oven to 400°F. Combine Bisquick mix, 3 tablespoons brown sugar, sour cream, and 2 tablespoons butter in a medium bowl to form a soft dough.
  • Press dough into a 9-inch square pan with your fingers dusted with Bisquick mix. Combine 2 tablespoons brown sugar, 1 tablespoon butter, and pecans in a small bowl, then sprinkle the mixture over the dough.
  • Bake for 20-25 minutes until golden brown. Slice the warm shortcake into 6 wedges, then split each wedge. Fill and top with sliced peaches, whipped cream, and chopped pecans.
