Delicious peaches and cream squares made with flaky crescent roll dough and sweet peach pie filling.
Ingredients:
  • 0.5 cup flour
  • 1 (8 ounce) can refrigerated crescent dinner rolls
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 0.5 cup sugar
  • 0.5 teaspoon almond extract, or more to taste
  • 1 (21 ounce) can peach pie filling
  • 0.25 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 3 tablespoons margarine or butter, softened
  • 0.5 cup sliced almonds
Instructions:
  • Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  • Unroll the crescent dough and divide it into 2 long rectangles. Place the dough in an ungreased 9x13-inch pan, pressing it down to cover the bottom and sealing any perforations.
  • In a bowl, blend cream cheese, sugar, and almond extract with an electric mixer until velvety. Spread the smooth cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough, then generously spoon fruit filling over the top.
  • In a bowl, mix flour, brown sugar, and margarine until crumbly. Sprinkle over fruit filling and top with almonds.
  • Bake in the oven until beautifully golden, for around 25 to 30 minutes. Allow to cool completely before slicing into squares.
