Crispy fried peach and cream cheese wontons - a sweet delight in every bite!
Ingredients:
  • 1 (8 ounce) package cream cheese, softened
  • 1 fresh peach - peeled, pitted, and diced
  • 0.25 cup confectioners' sugar
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract
  • 1 cup vegetable oil for frying, or as needed
  • 24 wonton wrappers
  • 0.5 cup water
Instructions:
  • Using an electric mixer, whip cream cheese in a bowl until slightly fluffy. Incorporate peaches, confectioners' sugar, and vanilla extract until well combined. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and chill in the refrigerator for about 10 minutes.
  • Heat vegetable oil in a deep-fryer or large saucepan until it reaches 350 degrees F (175 degrees C).
  • Place a wonton wrapper on a work surface, spoon 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture in the center. Dip your finger in water and run it along all 4 sides of the wrapper. Fold one corner over to create a triangle shape, press edges to seal. Repeat with remaining wrappers and filling.
  • Fry 4 to 5 wontons at a time in hot oil until golden brown on both sides, about 3 minutes per side. Remove using a slotted spoon, and let them drain on a paper towel-lined plate. Repeat with the rest of the wontons.
