- 6 cups heavy cream
- 6 cups whole milk
- 9 ounces good-quality white chocolate, chopped
- 0.5 teaspoon peppermint extract, or to taste
- 0.5 cup whipped cream, or to taste
- 0.5 cup crushed peppermint candy canes
- 12 small peppermint candy canes
- In a heavy saucepan, gently simmer cream and milk. Lower the heat and add white chocolate, stirring until smooth and melted.
- Take the mixture off the heat and gently incorporate the peppermint extract.
- Pour the steaming hot chocolate into separate mugs and generously dollop whipped cream and crushed candies on top. Finish by adorning each mug with a dainty candy cane for an extra touch of sweetness.
