Sweet potato and pineapple bake with warm spices for a delicious Thanksgiving side.
Ingredients:
  • 6 sweet potatoes
  • 1 (20 ounce) can crushed pineapple
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 pinch ground cinnamon
  • 1 pinch ground ginger
  • 1 pinch ground nutmeg
  • 1 pinch ground cloves
Instructions:
  • Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) and generously grease a 9x13 inch baking dish with butter.
  • Boil salted water in a pot. Add potatoes and cook until tender yet firm. Drain and cool in a large bowl. Peel and quarter the potatoes.
  • Combine pineapple, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, and cloves in a saucepan. Bring to a boil, then simmer.
  • Spread the potatoes evenly in a baking dish and generously coat them with the sauce before baking for 45 minutes.
