"Delicious Indonesian snack: banana slices coated in batter and deep-fried for irresistible pisang goreng."
Ingredients:
  • 1.25 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 0.25 tablespoon vanilla powder
  • 0.5 cup milk
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tablespoons butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon rum flavoring
  • 4 ripe bananas, sliced
  • 2 cups oil for frying
Instructions:
  • In a large bowl, mix together flour, sugar, and vanilla powder. Create a well in the center and pour in milk, egg, melted butter, and rum flavoring. Stir until smooth, then gently fold in banana slices until well coated.
  • Heat the oil in a wok or deep fryer until it reaches 375 degrees F (190 degrees C).
  • Spoon banana mixture into hot oil and fry until golden brown and crispy, about 10-15 minutes. Drain on paper towels and serve hot.
