Succulent pork chops cooked in flavorful white wine with ripe stone fruit like plums or apricots for a delicious, speedy meal option.
Ingredients:
  • 5 thin boneless pork chops
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • 1 cup white wine
  • 1 tablespoon light brown sugar, or to taste
  • 4 pluots, stones removed and cut into 12 wedges
Instructions:
  • Preheat a skillet over medium-high heat. Season pork chops with salt and pepper on both sides; cook until nicely browned, about 3 minutes each side. Transfer the chops to a plate.
  • 1. Deglaze the skillet with white wine, scraping off the flavorful browned bits with a wooden spoon. Mix in brown sugar, add pluots, cover the skillet, and simmer on medium heat until the pluots create a luscious sauce, about 10 minutes.
  • Sear pork chops in the skillet until they warm and have a slight pink center, about 3 to 5 minutes more. Use an instant-read thermometer; the center should reach a minimum of 145 degrees F (63 degrees C).
